Firefighters from the Ayalon Station are battling a fire in a field near Route 1 at the Ben Shemen Interchange.
The crews, who are deployed in two locations, have managed to contain the fire and are currently working to reduce the smoke, which is affecting drivers on the highway. Jerusalem-bound Route 1 is closed due to the incident.
