The leader of the Lithuanian-haredi community, Rabbi Dov Lando, commented on the attempts to draft haredim in a letter to be published in the Yated Ne'eman newspaper on Tuesday morning
"The authorities are plotting to draft Torah scholars into their army. If, God forbid, they draft by force, we will not be able to stand idly by - and we will be compelled to take actions we do not desire," he wrote.
