Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir and Fire and Rescue Commissioner, Eyal Caspi, have instructed all organizers of Independence Day events on Wednesday evening that require the presence of firefighters, to cancel the events.
It was reported that "this decision is intended to mobilize forces to deal with the fire, reinforce the firefighting forces in the Jerusalem district, and prepare for worsening weather conditions in accordance with the forecasts."
