MG Yaniv Asor appointed Southern Command commander, BG Itzik Cohen Operations Directorate chief

Minister of Defense Israel Katz approved IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir's recommendation for two important appointments.

MG Yaniv Asor will be appointed as commanding officer of the Southern Command and will enter the position next week.

BG Itzik Cohen will be appointed as the head of the Operations Directorate and will be promoted to Major General. He will enter the position in the next two months.
