The Knesset approved, in the second and third readings, a law that changes the method by which the Public Complaints Commissioner for Judges will be appointed. According to the new legislation, the commissioner will be selected by a committee headed by the Minister of Justice, instead of by the Judicial Selection Committee.
The bill passed with a majority of 56 supporters against 48 opponents.
