Minister of Transportation Miri Regev has appealed to the Minister of Interior Moshe Arbel to prevent the passport control strike threatened by the employees of the Ministry of Interior.
Regev warned that the strike would severely damage aviation, tourism and the Israeli economy, and declared that if the strike went ahead, she would promote an emergency order transferring border control management to the Israel Airports Authority, and would also promote legislation on the subject.
