Mexican and US officials agree to ongoing dialogue on economic issues

Mexican and US officials agreed to ongoing and open dialogue on economic issues like strengthening regional supply chains and the traceability of foreign investment on Wednesday, a senior Mexican official told Reuters.

US President Donald Trump threatened both Mexico and Canada with 25% tariffs, but pushed the roll-out back a month earlier this week in exchange for promises from the two countries to tackle drugs and immigration. Mexico agreed to deploy 10,000 National Guard troops to the border.
