The Ukrainian Embassy in Israel said on Tuesday that Deputy Foreign Minister Sharren Haskel offered, during an official meeting with Ambassador Yevgen Korniychuk, that Israel transfer Russian weapons captured as spoils in the war against Hezbollah in Lebanon and other combat zones to Ukraine.
Israeli officials clarified to Kan 11 News that the initiative is a private legislation which was proposed by the Deputy Minister before she was appointed to her role, and is not an official policy change by the Israeli government.
