Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar congratulated his incoming US counterpart, Secretary of State Marco Rubio on his confirmation.
"You have been a steadfast friend of Israel, unwavering in your support for many years," he stated.
"There is much to do and I look forward to working closely together to elevate the great alliance between Israel and the US."
