The Ministry of Health announced on Sunday evening that a resident of northern Israel was bitten by his dog and infected with the rabies virus.
The resident is hospitalized in intensive care. "The Health Ministry is conducting an epidemiological investigation to offer a preventive vaccination for contacts between the patient and the dog," the Ministry said.
