Rep. Torres: 'Members of Congress remain intent on disarming Israel to render it defenseless'

US Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-NY) commented on the Hezbollah drone strike on northern Israel which wounded 67.

"Numerous Israelis have been wounded by a strike from Hezbollah, the most powerful proxy for the Islamic Republic of Iran," he wrote on X.

He added: "Keep in mind that there are Members of Congress who remain intent on disarming not Israel's enemies but Israel itself in order to render it defenseless in the face of drones, rockets, and missiles from the Islamic Republic and its proxies. The unilateral disarmament of the Jewish State would leave the world’s largest Jewish population wide open to a repeat of October 7th—an outcome that the United States cannot and will not accept."
