A security official told Galei Tzahal that the defense establishment was not aware of an incident of Arabs throwing rocks at Israeli vehicles on the Gilad route before the Israeli riots in Jit and the IDF had not received any such report.
This is in contrast to claims that the violent riot came as retribution for rock attacks that proceeded it.
