A tank fired a shell at a target in the Gaza Strip but as a result of a malfunction, which is under investigation, the shell went off course and fell in Israeli territory near the border.
A report that a car in the Hof Ashkelon Region was damaged by shrapnel from the shell is being investigated.
No one was injured.
