House Republican Conference Chair US Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) wrote on social media: "Columbia’s leadership has allowed an antisemitic mob to illegally take control of the school and the President announced the cancellation of all in-person classes through the end of semester. This is a disgrace and shows a fundamental lack of leadership from the President and the Board of Trustees".
"These dens of antisemitic hate need to be defunded", she added.
