Leonid Volkov, the former chief of staff of the late Russian opposition leader Alexey Navalny, was attacked on Tuesday outside his house in the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius.
His spokesperson said that someone broke a car window and sprayed tear gas in Volokv’s eyes and then started hitting him with a hammer. Volkov has been taken to hospital.
