Israel Prison Service officials on Monday evening heard an explosion near the Hadarim prison compound.
A preliminary investigation found that the explosion was a result of an incident that took place on the main road, during which an item was thrown in the area of the prison. Police were called to the scene. The background to the incident is being investigated, and there are no reports of injuries.
