Senior Palestinian Authority official Jibril Rajoub said in an interview with the Qatari Al-Arabi channel that he met with the leader of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, and expressed his condolences over the death of his deputy, Saleh al-Arouri.
In the interview, Rajoub called on Hamas to join the PLO and "reach a national consensus that will lead to a unity government."
