Yossi Keren, acting head of the Sha’ar Hanegev Regional Council located on the border with Gaza, said in an interview with Reshet Bet radio on Sunday evening that "the decision to reopen schools within three weeks is disconnected from reality."
"I hope that the economic burden is not more important in the eyes of the government than the lives of the citizens in the Negev," he added.
