As part of the preparation for the release of security prisoners in the deal with Hamas, Border Police forces entered the Palestinian Arab village of Beitunia, in order to open the road and prevent celebrations.
During the entry, terrorists threw explosives and firebombs at the forces, and set fire to trash cans on the main road. The forces responded by opening fire and using riot dispersal methods. A shovel cleared the burning trash cans from the road.
