US President Joe Biden spoke on the phone with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on Wednesday night.
Sisi’s office said that Biden thanked Sisi for "Cairo's role in the joint mediation that led to the achievement of the humanitarian ceasefire in the Gaza Strip."
