US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant spoke on Tuesday to discuss Israel's operations against Hamas.
“The Secretary emphasized US support for Israel and the importance of preventing regional escalation. He discussed the criticality of increasing and sustaining humanitarian aid and protecting civilians in Gaza,” the Pentagon said in a statement.
