At a special meeting of the mayors of Binyamin region towns, convened by Binyamin Regional Council Governor Israel Ganz and attended by Head of Southern Command Maj. Gen. Yehuda Fuchs, he addressed the issue of so-called “settler violence” as reported by journalist Amit Segal.
Fuchs reiterated that there is no such thing as “settler violence,” and there is no more violence in Binyamin than in other parts of Israel.
Maj. Gen. Fuchs told the meeting, “99% of the hilltop youth don’t do any harm to anyone, neither the army or to others. There is no such thing as “settler violence.” I say this on multiple occasions. There are violent events in all sorts of places in Israel.”
