US President Joe Biden asked China to weigh in with Iran and urge it to avoid steps that could be seen as provocative in the Middle East, a senior US official said on Wednesday after a meeting between Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The official said Chinese officials had engaged in discussions with Iran on regional risks.
