The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Prime Minister's Office stated: "The State of Israel sees the attempt to harm Israeli citizens and Jews anywhere severely.
The Prime Minister's Office, the Foreign Ministry, and the National Security Council are following the developments of the incidents in southern Russia in the Dagestan region. Israel expects the Russian authorities to protect the Israeli citizens and Jews wherever they are and to act determinedly against the rioters and against the out-of-control incitement against Jews and Israelis.
Israeli Ambassador to Russia, Alex Ben Tzvi, is working with the Russian authorities to ensure the safety of the Israelis and Jews there."
