A vehicle that arrived at the Te’enim crossing near Avnei Hefetz from the Palestinian Arab side on Thursday evening, aroused the suspicion of the inspectors of the Defense Ministry’s crossings authority and was directed to a security inspection.
The driver, an Israeli Arab, started driving, broke through two barriers and stepped on spikes. A force of reservists stationed at the crossing fired at the vehicle.
The driver was injured from the shooting and was taken to a hospital for treatment. A preliminary examination shows that the vehicle was stolen.
