Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office clarified on Sunday night that "the Prime Minister arrived today to visit the families of the abducted and missing persons. The coordination of the visit was made between the office and the representative of the families. During the visit, several families arrived at the scene, without coordination, presenting themselves as families of alleged abductees, and also asked to enter the meeting. The request was approved and they joined the meeting."

"No one from Netanyahu's office had prior knowledge of the people, and the insinuation that they were 'planted' is false, shocking, outrageous and unacceptable," the statement added.
