Kan News reports that a non-mandatory evacuation of the southern city of Sderot is set to begin in the coming hours ahead of the launching of the IDF's ground operation in Gaza.
Sderot has been a favorite target for Hamas terrorists to launch rockets at since the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza in 2005, and the IDF fears the city will be targeted again in retaliation for the ground incursion.
