National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir condemned the act of spitting at Christian pilgrims in Jerusalem's Old City.
"It's not right, it's not appropriate, it's not the correct way, it's ugly and disgusting. But don't act as if this is the norm. Israel is very safe for Christian tourists, our country has the freedom of religion, as opposed to our neighbors. We have an amazing country."
