Knesset Committee rejects all reservations to reasonableness bill

The Knesset Constitution Committee on Tuesday night rejected all 27,674 reservations submitted by the opposition against the proposal to reduce the use of the doctrine of reasonableness.

A loud argument broke out during the vote, after Knesset members from the opposition claimed that the vote was being conducted at too fast a pace and that they were unable to follow it. Some of them were removed from the discussion by the chairman of the committee, MK Simcha Rothman.
