Tor Wennesland, United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, on Wednesday condemned the incidents in which Israeli youth entered Palestinian Arab cities and torched vehicles, shops, and homes.

“I strongly condemn the acts of violence that we’ve witnessed last night and today by Israeli vigilante settlers, against Palestinian residents, land and properties, including a school and an ambulance, in villages around Nablus and Ramallah, following yesterday’s shooting attack,” said Wennesland.

“I condemn all acts of terror against civilians. Israel, as the Occupying Power, must ensure that the civilian population is protected against all acts of violence, and that perpetrators are held to account,” he added.
