A security prisoner from Ketziot prison was pulled out of his cell and transferred to isolation after his cell was searched and a smuggled mobile device was seized. The Israel Prison Service is working to open a criminal case and apply all possible sanctions against the prisoner.
During the search, a mattress was set on fire in another cell in the wing. The intervention force of the prison broke into the cell, extinguished the fire and took the prisoners to isolation. The unit commander is on his way to the scene. At the direction of the Commissioner of Prisons, the wing will remain closed.
