The head of the intelligence division of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, Muhammad Khatami, who took office last July, was interviewed on the website of Iranian leader Ali Khamenei and claimed, among other things, that members of the intelligence agencies of Israel and the United Arab Emirates "met in an Arab country" to discuss "encouraging riots in Iran."
Khatami also claims that the intelligence agencies of about 20 countries, including Iceland and Kosovo, worked to encourage the protests that began in September in the streets of Iran.
