The Jewish People's Lobby was launched today in the Knesset under the leadership of MK Meir Cohen, MK David Bitan, MK Evgeni Sova, and in cooperation with the Jewish Agency.
It was reported that this is the largest lobby in the Knesset, numbering 75 MKs. Its purpose is to "expose the members of the Knesset to central issues in the Jewish people and to deepen the strategic relationship between Israel and Diaspora Jewry."
The event was held in the presence of Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana, Minister of Immigration and Absorption Ofir Sofer, Chairman of the Jewish Agency Doron Almog, and Chairman of the World Zionist Organization Yaakov Hagoel
