For the first time in Israel's history, a committee will be established to recommend the criteria for considering granting citizenship to foreign athletes.
The committee will be chaired by retired judge Sarah Frisch and her recommendations will give standards to the Population and Immigration Authority to determine which foreign athletes will be eligible for Israeli citizenship.
