Dr. Yoel Rap has been selected to be the CEO of the National Center for Examinations and Assessment. The choice was made on the recommendation of a search committee and approved by the Center's executive committee. Rap will take up his position in June, replacing Dr. Anat Ben Simon, who served as the CEO for the past eight years.

Rap (58), holds a Ph.D. in psychology (cognitive), from Tel Aviv University, served in his last position as director of the computerized tests section. As part of this position, he was responsible for the development of the adaptive computerized test for English proficiency. Rap served as a senior researcher at the center and promoted research in the fields of measurement and evaluation.
