The government approved Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's proposal to increase the budget framework of the five-year plan to upgrade infrastructure and encourage visits to the Western Wall plaza.
The decision adds approximately NIS 60 million to the proposed budget. The money will go toward responding to the increased pace of development and construction works being carried out at the site, archaeological discoveries, infrastructure upgrades, schoolchildren and soldier trips, as well as other educational activities.
