The government will approve a budget of millions of shekels for the development and construction of the Western Wall plaza and tunnels today (Sunday) at a special meeting marking Jerusalem Day.
According to the decision, approximately NIS 17 million will go towards the preservation of archaeological finds, as well as upgrading infrastructure and social services at the plaza.
Kan News reported that from a political point of view, construction in the area of the tunnels is considered very sensitive.
