In an unusual step, the Israeli Police proposed a general closure on Judea and Samaria for Jerusalem Day, something that had not been done in previous years. Galei Tzahal announced this morning that this follows security threats from Arab terror groups.
According to the report, all the other security bodies - the IDF, Shin Bet, and COGAT - were opposed to the proposal, and believed it had no security benefit.
Their position was accepted and the closure will not go into effect.
