A ship's cargo, which includes huge marble items from 1,800 years ago (the Roman period), was discovered in the waters of Beit Yanai beach, (north of Netanya) about 200 meters from the shore.

This is the first quarry of its kind known in the Eastern Mediterranean, which includes Corinthian columns decorated with a plant model, partially hewn written descriptions in their original state, and huge marble column beams up to 6 meters in length.
