A survey conducted for Channel 13 News shows that 36% of the public believes that the reason why the government launched a military operation against the Islamic Jihad in Gaza is the decline of the Likud in the polls and 35% think that the reason is the peaceful return to the Gaza Strip. Only 13% think that the operation was caused by Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir's political pressure.
