Mayor of Sderot Elon Davidi commented this evening (Thursday) on the continuation of the operation.
"I am looking at one thing. A week, two weeks and three years ago, the Israeli government did not take the initiative. We were told that it was complex, and we have seen recently that terrorists, the leaders of the Islamic Jihad, can be harmed, and this is what we will be tested for. If we go back, woe to the State of Israel and woe to us residents who are on the front lines, you have to keep hitting and hurting them."
"I told the Prime Minister - 'We will give you all the support you need in order to harm and eliminate them, but it is likely that in the end we will need an extensive military operation to eradicate these terrorist organizations,'" Davidi told Channel 12 News.
