Sources within Otzma Yehudit have informed Israel National News that Netanyahu promised government ministers a month ago that there would be a return to targeted assassinations.
"In recent days, there was an attempt to introduce mediators [to repair the rift between Otzma Yehudit and Netanyahu], and the first thing we told them was that we must renew the policy of target assassinations," the sources said. "This, in our opinion, is what forced the opening of last night's operation in Gaza."
