According to MDA spokesman Zaki Heller, the night of Lag b'Omer passed without serious incident in all parts of the country, other than three incidents. In one, a 19-year-old woman was bitten by a dog in Ashkelon during a bonfire celebration; in another, in Eilat, a boy of 13 sustained mild burns; and in Petah Tikva three young men suffered mild injuries from smoke inhalation.

No serious incidents have been reported in Meron, where 113 people have so far been treated by MDA and United Hatzalah for mild ailments such as weakness and dehydration. Only 22 needed to be evacuated to hospital and all were in mild condition.
