The Jerusalem District Attorney's Office submitted to the city's district court an indictment against Sari Halak, a 19-year-old resident of Jerusalem, who planned to carry out terrorist attacks in Jerusalem during the past months.
During the last few months, the accused planned to carry out terrorist attacks in Jerusalem. In one of the cases, the accused asked to take grenades from his friend in order to carry out an attack against the security forces, a plan which never came to pass. In another case, the defendant and another friend discussed their desire to carry out a shooting attack against Jews and began planning for the attack.
In order to carry out the attack, the two planned to purchase a gun and one of them made observations towards the Beit Hanina neighborhood of Jerusalem where they determined that they would carry out the attack. As part of the plan for the attack, the two planned to throw Molotov cocktails at a vehicle with Jewish-looking passengers, and when people got out of it they would shoot them with the weapons.
