During traffic enforcement activities near Eilat, a vehicle was stopped for inspection due to a strong smell of alcohol on the driver's breath.
The driver, a resident of Jerusalem (26), refused to be tested with a breathalyzer and so is considered by law to have been driving under the influence of alcohol.
The police prosecution intends to file an indictment against him. The driver's driver's license was suspended for 30 days and his car was impounded for a similar period.
