National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir responded to the Likud statement saying that "he does not have to stay in the government." He added that "if Netanyahu does not want Otzma Yehudit in the government, he is welcome to fire us. The citizens of the country voted for a full right-wing government and this is not what they have."

According to him, "We will not attend Knesset votes until Netanyahu realizes that the goal of this government is a full-on right-wing government and that we are an integral part of the discussions and part of the implementation of the Israeli government's security policy."
