Mayor of Sderot Alon Davidi gave an interview to Channel 13 News and commented on the barrage of rockets fired from Gaza towards Sderot: "Unfortunately, we are very used to this reality. We have three wounded, one of them in a serious condition. This reality repeats itself. Usually in such a reality there is a lot of pain that erupts and cries that people don't want to live like this. They want to live like every resident of the State of Israel, in peace and security."
"I call on the government and the army, enough with the words," added Davidi, "These are two terrorist organizations that control the Strip, and whenever they want they shoot. They must be eliminated. We are paying a price. We must initiate an operation, and do it wisely. I trust the IDF to do the right things. The security of the residents of the south and the security of the residents of Sderot comes first. This is about human life and a normal life that people expect."
