Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Israel Katz denies the report according to which he withdrew from his intention to appoint Alona Schafer-Caro to the position of chairwoman of the board of the Israel Electric Company and said that the reports are unfounded.
The Office of the Minister of Energy reported that "Minister Katz is convinced that Alona Schafer-Caro is the most suitable candidate for the position, due to her experience and skills, and as he made clear yesterday, he intends to advance her appointment in accordance with the required procedures."
