The head of the Bar Association, Amit Becher, spoke at the main demonstration against the judicial reform in Tel Aviv. During his speech, he criticized Justice Minister Yariv Levin's speech to the protest in Jerusalem.
"I am horrified and ashamed. The Supreme Court is the defender of democracy, the protector of IDF soldiers, officers and pilots. Whoever harms the Supreme Court and weakens its independence, whoever harms the status of the Supreme Court in Israel and the world - endangers the IDF, Israeli democracy and each and every one of Israel's citizens."
"Let's call out loud and clear: We are all Supreme Court President Esther Hayut! We are all the Attorney General! We are all judges of the Supreme Court! Continue to defend democracy without fear!"
