The teachers' union announced this morning (Friday) a one-day "warning strike" this coming Sunday in 10th and 11th grades all over the country, citing "the lack of response by the Ministries of Finance and Education to the minimum demands of the secondary teachers' union after more than a year of fruitless negotiations".

The chairman of the union, Ran Erez, said: "I am sorry to see the lack of interest shown by the Minister of Education, Yoav Kisch, in what is happening in the education system, with the lack of professional teachers and the abandonment and disdain of the Finance Ministry officials for the claims of the secondary teachers."
